Cone nozzles

The most important part of these nozzles is the plate with relative liquid outlet hole, on which the capacity constancy and distribution uniformity depends. The plate needs to be of material that is highly resistant to the abrasive and corrosive action of the sprayed liquid (as for example ceramic) so that the liquid exit hole does not change its dimensions in a short time, which is what happens with plates made of brass, stainless steel and aluminium. The jet cone may be either full or empty, according to the construction characteristics and the width of the exit angle.

These nozzles may be used both on spraying booms and sprayers. As droplets are very small and offer greater crop penetration, cone nozzle use is preferable for those treatments in which a kind of mist formation is required to envelope the crops (herbicide and insecticide treatments by contact).
